The Reach for the Stars Foundation Benefiting Individuals
with Cystic Fibrosis is holding its 6th Annual Stars
4 Stars Weekend at The Diplomat Country Club & Spa
and The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa. Stars 4 Stars
Weekend has become one of South Florida’s most consistently
star-studded premier fund-raising events. This can’t
miss event of the year includes the 7th annual Jay
Fiedler Celebrity Golf Classic and the 6th annual
VIP Celebrity Gala and Auction.
This
year’s emcee is none other than the absolutely hysterical
comedian Tommy Davidson. Having performed at last
year’s event, Tommy finished off the event and held
the crowd’s attention until the final moments of the
Gala. The ballroom was filled with laughter right
up until lights out and closing. He is honored to
be this year’s emcee and hopes to bring out the stars
for Stars 4 Stars 2008!
The 7th Annual Jay Fiedler Celebrity Golf Classic
will be held on Friday, May 16th and is a great opportunity
to team up with sports and entertainment superstars,
enjoy the outdoors and play golf to help raise money
and awareness for this great cause. Includes breakfast,
a shotgun start, 20 foursomes plus one celebrity on
each team, souvenir pictures, trophies, closest to
the hole and longest drive contests, goody bags, and
a Celebrity Awards Luncheon.
The VIP Celebrity Gala and Auction will be a star-studded
affair held Saturday, May 17, 2008. The night will
include mingling with local and national celebrities
plus top-notch entertainment. Past celebrities in
attendance have included Jay Fiedler, Roy Firestone,
Ray Lewis, NBC’s Deal or no Deal ladies; Anya and
Pilar, Isaac Singleton, John Salley, Robert Smith,
Alonzo Mourning, Vonnie Holliday, Romero Britto, Garo
Yepremian, Comedians Tommy Davidson, George Wallace,
Nick Dipaulo, Bob Nelson, Freddie Roman, and many
more. The VIP Celebrity Gala and Auction will include
a cocktail hour, dinner, live and silent auctions,
raffles, and comedians.
Stars 4 Stars Weekend benefits the Reach for the Stars
Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis is not only physically
debilitating, but carries a heavy financial and psychological
burden for families. The Reach for the Stars Foundation’s
mission is to help these individuals and families
with these burdens so that they can survive to see
a cure.
