Jay
Fiedler, Director
Chairman
- Founder's Council
|
Mr.
Fiedler is entering his third season as the starting Quarterback
of the Miami Dolphins. After signing a lucrative 5-year contract
in the off-season, Fiedler has firmly established himself as one
of the premier Quarterbacks in the National Football League. Prior
to arriving in Miami, Fiedler spent two seasons with the Philadelphia
Eagles and one each with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville
Jaguars. In between, he played with Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europe
and was a coach at Hofstra University in New York.
A
graduate of Dartmouth College with a degree in Engineering, Fiedler
was a champion decathlete in high school. Fiedler was featured on
the cover of Sports Illustrated for his last-second game-winning
touchdown against the Oakland Raiders in September of 2001.
How
he became involved in the RFTSF:
I have known Brian for practically my entire life and when his daughter
was born and diagnosed with this terminal disease, I felt that I
needed to help him and his family in any possible manner. This Foundation
has great things planned and I look forward to being a very active
participant. |
