benefiting individuals with cystic fibrosis, held
its first annual “Stars & Strikes” Celebrity Bowling
Tournament hosted by Miami Dolphins Vonnie Holliday,
at the Lucky Strike Lanes in fabulous South Beach
Florida.
It was an AWESOME evening of unlimited food, cocktails,
VIP Lanes, bowling, billiards, Celebrities, cake and
of course fundraising! We raised almost $20,000 in
only 3 hours! Special thanks to the incredible host
of the event; Miami Dolphins NFL Player Vonnie Holliday.
Additional celebrity guests in attendance were Miami
Dolphins NFL Players; Jason Taylor, Matt Roth, Lance
Schulters, Joey Porter, and former Miami Dolphins
NFL Quarterback and Reach for the Stars Foundation
co-founder Jay Fiedler.
Miami Heat DJ Irie came out to show his support for
The Reach for the Stars Foundation and to knock down
a few pins for this marvelous charity event.
Deco Drive’s Party Patrol, NBC’s Channel 6 and FIN
TV were also present to witness the South Beach style
bowling spectacular affair!
There were amazing gift baggies, splendid raffle prizes
and vintage bowling shirts to commemorate the celebrity
charity event, signed by all the NFL players in attendance!
“Stars & Strikes” benefits the Reach for the Stars
Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to providing
children and individuals afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis
and their families with the resources, knowledge and
support necessary to manage their unrelenting battle
with this insidious disease.

its first annual “Art on Alton Under the Stars” event,
on Alton Road between 13th & 14th Streets in beautiful
South Beach Florida.
The
entire block of Alton road enjoyed an amazing evening
under the stars Friday night graciously sponsored
by Keizer
Institute, Carrs,
W
Wine Boutique, Quizno’s
and RICE.
What a remarkable event! There was live music, thanks
to Dr. Cary Zinkin, relaxing massages donated by Ryan
Logan and delicious Gin cocktails kindly donated by
Martin Millers Gin as well as Singha Beer donated
by Philip Reis at Boon Rawd Trading Company. Martin
Millers Gin also provided an assortment of fun hats,
t-shirt and key chains. Singha Beer supplied attractive
glassware to everyone as well.
The silent auction had marvelous one of a kind items
and the raffle was a huge success! The Foundation
received 100% of the ticket and raffle price sales.
On top of the savory cocktails, every sponsor put
on an awesome display of art work, provided by local
Miami artists, turning each store into a mini art
gallery. Each artist agreed to donate 50% of any artwork
sold directly to the Foundation. Special thanks to
local artists; Drago Milik, Jennifer Kaiser, Eros,
Helene Weiss and Etra Gallery.

Fest” at the IMPROV Comedy Club located in the Seminole
Hardrock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, featuring
Broward County’s improv troupe; THEY improv. THEY improv
continues their effort at changing the face of comedy
in South Florida with their benefit performance for
The Reach for the Stars Foundation.
In an evening full of top-notch comedy and participation
of sports celebrities, the show raised funds and awareness
for The Reach for the Stars Foundation. The Reach for
the Stars Foundation is dedicated to providing individuals
afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis and their families with
the resources, knowledge and support necessary to manage
their unrelenting battle with this insidious disease.
Cystic Fibrosis is not only physically debilitating,
but carries a heavy financial and psychological burden
for families.
"The symbolism of reaching for the stars is not lost
on us," said THEY improv Director Todd Rice. "It's about
hope. Hope for a cure, hope for a brighter future, and
a hope for a tomorrow. The Reach for the Stars Foundation
brings hope to so many. Helping them to help others
is the least we can do."

FL - The Reach for the Stars Foundation, benefiting

first event at BICE Ristorante in the beautiful
Le Meridien Sunny Isles Beach Condo Hotel located
at 18683 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach Florida.
Everything about the event was amazing! From the
courteous staff, absolutely delicious food and the
tasteful signature cocktails featuring Blavod Black
Vodka. There was phenomenal live music by Cary Zinkin,
wonderful raffle prizes and complimentary massages
provided by the Le Meriden Spa. Le Meridien and
BICE Ristorante graciously hosted the event and

sales. Even the weather did not stop guests from

South Beach, FL - The Reach for the Stars Foundation,
benefiting individuals with cystic fibrosis, participated
in the very first “Grill your EATS Challenge” at The
Flamingo South Beach in Miami Beach Florida.
Dozens of local Chefs took part in the BBQ Challenge
with a Celebrity panel of Judges; Miami Beach Commissioner
Simone Cruz, NBC7’s Craig Stevens, Buster from A3TV,
as well as Miami Heat DJ Irie, who also was the MC for
the entire event. A live bluegrass band set the mood
along with the bales of hay and gingham tablecloths.
WSVN’s Deco Drive and NBC’s Today in South Florida were
present to witness the South Beach Miami style Barbeque.
The Foundation received 100% of the raffle ticket price
sales. An amazing first time event! The Raffle was a
great way for the Foundation to raise funds, during
a fun day in the sun.

Fresh Market Gala at the Fresh Market in Aventura Florida.
Everything about the event was amazing! From the courteous
staff, absolutely delicious food and the tasteful wines
from all over the world. There was popular music provided
by the Foundations resident DJ, Lawrence Newberg, an
appealing silent Auction and a special guest appearance
by Miami Dolphins Vonnie Holiday. The Fresh Market graciously
hosted the event and The Foundation received 100% of
the ticket price sales. A wonderful first time event!
JAY FIEDLER’S STARS 4 STARS WEEKEND
April 20-22, 2007
TO BENEFIT THE REACH FOR THE STARS FOUNDATION
Fort Lauderdale, FL - The Reach for the Stars Foundation,
benefiting individuals with cystic fibrosis, kicked
off its fifth annual Stars 4 Stars weekend, featuring
the Jay Fiedler Celebrity Golf Classic, on Friday April
20th at the Woodlands Country Club Golf Course in Fort
Lauderdale.
More then 150 people hit the links at the event, with
“790 The Ticket” sports radio broadcasting live from
the golf course. They were joined by current Miami Dolphin
star Vonnie Holiday, former Dolphin quarterback Jay
Fiedler, former Dolphin great Nat Moore, NFL great Robert
Smith, baseball legend Jim Leyritz, Super-bowl Champion
Colt Jason David and many others.
The next day, the Fifth annual VIP Celebrity Gala was
held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.
The star studded celebration was hosted by Jay Fiedler,
co-founder of The Reach for the Stars Foundation and
Lisa Petrillo from WFOR-CBS4, also featuring renowned
comedian Tommy Davidson, performing artist Michael Israel
and radio show personality John “Footy” Kross. There
were also featured appearances by figure skating champion
Emily Hughes and Deal or No Deal model #10, Anya.
The
stars came out in full force on Saturday night for the
VIP Celebrity Gala & Auction. Over 400 people attended
the star-studded event, which was glittered with food,
music, live performances, presentations and dancing.
The evening also featured a silent and live auction,
with items such as original artwork created that evening
by Michael Israel, an ESPN/Super Bowl package, adorable
miniature Maltese and Yorkshire puppies, and a fun-filled
New York Yankees package, all to help raise money for
The Reach for the Stars Foundation.
This year’s Allison Bine Spirit Award was presented
to Joy Heinsohn of Boca Raton, a 31-year old cystic
fibrosis survivor.
The real highlight of the night was when 15 -year old
cystic fibrosis survivor, Ellie Levy, whose parents
Brian and Stacey created the Foundation, took the stage
and wowed the audience with an emotional rendition of
“When you Wish Upon a Star”, receiving a standing ovation
from over 400 guests in the grand ballroom.
The weekend events raised over $200,000 to help those
in need who are affected by cystic fibrosis. That money
will be used to improve the quality-of-life for CF children,
individuals and families.

2nd Annual “Walk under the Stars”
Boca Raton, FL (March 17th, 2007) - The Reach for the
Stars Foundation, benefiting Individuals with Cystic
Fibrosis, held its 2nd Annual “Walk under the Stars”
Boca Walk-a-thon. The event was held on St. Patrick’s
Day this year, March 17th, 2007 at the beautiful Mizner
Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton, Florida.
The
walk was approximately 3 miles around Mizner Park and
downtown Boca Raton. The Boca Raton High School Drum
Line kicked off the walk with food provided by JD’s
Java Cafe, live music performed by “Mid Life Crysis”,
a fantastic kid’s corner complete with a Bounce House,
Fast pitch, Cotton Candy and Snow Cones courtesy of
Melanie Moskow, Face painting, amazing donated raffle
prizes and so much more!!
Jay Fiedler along with other NFL players were present
to partake in the days activities.
The official “after-party” of the Walk-a-thon was hosted
by Mizner Parks very own Dubliners Irish Pub. Products
such as; Xellent Swiss Vodka, Peroni Beer and Pilsner
Urquell were donated by the Tiffany Group and all the
proceeds sold benefited The Reach for the Stars Foundation.
We had over 200 walkers, great sponsors and support
from our committee and volunteer groups! What an amazing
day! Thanks to everyone that came out!

the Stars Foundation hosted its 4th Annual Stars 4 Stars
Weekend April 1st through 3rd, raising over $200,000
to benefit individuals with Cystic Fibrosis.
The
Stars 4 Stars Weekend began on Saturday, April 1st with
the VIP Celebrity Gala and Auction. Sponsored and hosted
by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in their luxurious
Ballroom, the formal affair included a cocktail hour;
dinner; live and silent auctions that included items
such as a Super Bowl XLI package, a ride in the Goodyear
Blimp a trip to the 2007 Grammy Awards and adorable
little puppies! Hosted by WFOR CBS4’s Jill Martin, guests
including former Miami Dolphins’ quarterback Jay Fiedler,
actor Isaac Singleton, Jr. (Pirates of the Caribbean)
and Miami Dolphins star, Vonnie Holliday, along with
former and current Miami Hurricanes running backs, Donyell
Bennett and Quadtrine Hill, enjoyed a comedic performance
by accomplished singer, impressionist, and humorist,
ROY FIRESTONE, winner of seven Emmy® Awards and seven
Cable ACE Awards.
The
Star 4 Stars Weekend continued on Monday, April 3rd
with the Jay Fiedler Golf Classic sponsored by Capital
Real Estate Group. The golf classic was hosted for the
second consecutive year by The Club at Emerald Hills
in Hollywood, Florida, consistently ranked as a top
course to play by Golf Digest, ESPN, and Zagat Survey.
In addition to raising both money and awareness for
the cause, the event included 22 foursomes, a full breakfast
buffet, grilling on the green by Morton’s, The Steakhouse
of North Miami featuring petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches
and Godiva Brownies and samplers supplied by La Spada
Subs of Davie and Dave & Busters. A beautiful day of
golfing with celebrities and NFL Stars was followed
by an awards banquet, where team trophies and individual
prizes were awarded. Additional Sponsors include: Southern

BOCA RATON, FL (May 6th, 2006) – The
Reach for the Stars Foundation hosted its 1st Annual Walk Under the Stars,
raising over $33,000 to benefit individuals with Cystic Fibrosis.
For
a first year event the response and turnout was
overwhelming. We had over 200 walkers, great sponsors
and support from our committee and volunteer groups.

From
the beginning warm up to the final lap of the walk, everyone’s spirits were
high and the energy level was amazing. The
food was fantastic and the kid’s corner was wonderful. All and all it was a great “family fun day”.
Thank you
everyone for making this event a huge success! We are anxiously looking forward
to next years 2007 Walk Under the Stars!

30th, 2005 - The Reach for the Stars Foundation Sponsors
3rd Annual Cystic Fibrosis Education Day
Some of the country's leading authorities on Cystic
Fibrosis came together on Saturday, April 30th for The
Reach for the Stars Foundation's 3rd Annual Cystic Fibrosis
Education Day. Held at the Sea View Hotel in Bal Harbour,
CF individuals, family members and caregivers listened
to seven experts speak on topics including research,
nutrition, transitions and emotional issues.
The day began with Dr. Michael Light, the CF Center
Director at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial
Hospital speaking about the past, present and future
of CF research. His lecture addressed different theories
on airway clearance techniques, how treatments have
improved and the latest research involving stem cell
research and CF. Following Dr. Light was Dr. Joan Germana,
CF Center Director at Long Island Jewish Medical Center
(NY), who spoke on the nutritional needs of CF individuals.
She stressed the importance of proper nutrition, vitamins,
minerals and enzymes.
Dr. Julie Biller, Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis
Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin, gave a two-part
lecture on transitions in CF and pregnancy. She began
her presentation by discussing how the myths and realities
of moving from childhood to adolescence to adult care
and then moved on to the issues CF women face when trying
to get pregnant and during pregnancy. The morning concluded
with a presentation on lung transplantation by Dr. Albert
Faro, CF Center Director at Shands Hospital at The University
of Florida. Dr. Faro's lecture captured the audience's
attention as he shared with them the latest statistics,
procedures, systems and results.
Dr. Henry Dorkin, director of the Joey O'Connell CF
Center and Clinical Director of the Pediatric Pulmonary
unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, began the afternoon
session. Dr. Dorkin, recognized as one of the country's
leading authorities in CF research, spoke about the
latest research advances being made by the CF Foundation,
including new drugs and therapies. He was followed by
Pat Stauber, a South Florida social worker, who spoke
about emotional issues individuals and families face
when dealing with a life-threatening illness. Dr. Mark
Shikowitz, an otolaryngology specialist from Long Island
Jewish Medical Center (NY), presented next. He gave
a highly informative presentation on sinus surgery,
a common procedure for CF individuals.
The day concluded with a panel discussion featuring
all seven presenters. Audience members were able to
ask any CF-related questions and took advantage of the
opportunity of having some of the foremost authorities
on a number of topics. All seven speakers were addressed
and received rave reviews from the audience. Participants
called the day "informative," "excellent," and "an enjoyable
day of information."
Said Reach for the Stars Foundation CEO Brian Levy,
"We are proud to be able to bring in some of the country's
leading experts in many CF fields and give local CF
individuals, families and caretakers the chance to learn
from them. Education is a big part of our mission. We
hope that our Education Day provides a unique forum
for everyone associated with CF to arm themselves with
the information they need to fight the battle against
this disease."

15-17, 2005 raising more than $200,000. With the help
of former Miami Dolphin Jay Fiedler, the weekend's charitable
fundraisers included the Jay Fiedler Golf Classic, VIP
Celebrity Gala and Auction as well as its inaugural
Charity Poker Tournament.

kicked-off the charitable weekend on Friday April 15th
at The Club at Emerald Hills in Hollywood, Florida to
help raise money and awareness for the cause. Featuring
32 foursomes, a breakfast buffet, grilling on the green
by Morton's, The Steakhouse, featuring petite Filet
Mignon Sandwiches, Large Shrimp from Michael's Kitchen,
delicious creations by Michael Schatz and Cold Stone
Creamery and a dinner reception following the match,
the tournament drew sports celebrities such as Jose
Canseco, NFL alumnus Cornelius Bennett and Garo Yepremian,
Current NFL Players Olindo Mare, Rob Conrad, Bobby Hamilton
and more were on hand to support the charity.
The
Stars 4 Stars Weekend continued on Saturday, April 16th
with the VIP Celebrity Gala and Auction. Sponsored and
hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the black-tie
affair included a cocktail hour, dinner, live and silent
auctions, raffles, a band and comedians. Emceed by Lisa
Petrillo of CBS Channel 4 and John Salley of The Best
Damn Sports Show and attended by Adam Gaynor of Matchbox
20 fame and a large amount of NFL players and alumni,
the auction featured a variety of autographed memorabilia
including Shaquile O'neal's game shoes, which bid for
more than $4,000.00, a 1972 Dolphins autographed helmet,
Miami Heat autographed game ball and an Elton John Guitar.
The evening's largest bids, however, went to two surprise
NY Jets v.s. Miami Dolphins home and away game packages,
which sold for $12,000 each.
New
to the Stars 4 Stars weekend this year was the Charity
Poker Tournament, which was held on Sunday, April 17th
at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Bingo Hall.
In recognition of the tremendous growing interest in
poker, the Texas Hold'em-style tournament accommodated
over 100 entrants with a buy-in of $250 seat. Playing
with cards donated by Pit Bull Energy Drink and chips
by Bradford Cohen of Apprentice Season 2, the final
table consisted of nine players full of excitement.
Natasha Haas won the tournament, earning her a $10,000
seat at the World Series of Poker Tournament in Las
Vegas.
Dedicated
to providing the resources, knowledge and support necessary
to manage individuals afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis
(CF), The Reach for the Stars Foundation, a not-for-profit
organization, works to alleviate the myriad of devastating
consequences suffered by those with CF and their families.
The Foundation is devoted to bridging the gap between
living with CF and finding a cure by offering assistance
and helping to improve the quality of life. Brian and
Stacey Levy, whose 13-year-old daughter Ellie suffers
from the disease, created the foundation with the help
of their good friend, former Miami Dolphins' quarterback
Jay Fiedler.

15-17, 2005 3rd Annual STARS 4 STARS WEEKEND
It was that time a year again for the "Can't Miss Event
of the Year," Stars 4 Stars Weekend. This year Stars
4 Stars started on Friday, April 15th with the Jay Fiedler
Golf Classic presented by Capital Real Estate Group
(CREG) at The
Club at Emerald Hills. The amazing VIP Celebrity
Gala and Auction followed on Saturday, April 16th at
the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. This event was
once again a weekend to remember.
February
17th, 2005 Reach for the Stars Bachelor/Bachelorette
Auction
The Reach for the Stars Foundation hosted its first
Bachelor/Bachelorette Auction on February 17, 2005 at
Sloppy Joe's at Beach Place in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets
were presold for $25 and $30 at the door. This included
two free Kettle One drinks, appetizers and night full
of fun and bidding on love. More information will follow
soon on the exciting bachelors and bachelorettes as
well as the great dates that went with them.
