December 9, 2004 Reach for the Stars Foundation's Hollywood Design & Wine
The Reach for the Stars Foundation invites everyone to come out to Downtown Hollywood to enjoy delectable wines and walk through designated shops and galleries. $25 includes an original hand painted glass and complimentary refills at participating shops. The night will start at Now Art Cafe which is located at 1820 S. Young Circle. Shops involved with the evening include Trend, Renovate, Valhalla, Woody by Design, Sivana, Mosaica, The Wizard's Apprentice Magic Shop, The Goddess Store and Purple Rain. A Map of the locations of the stores will be provided. Proceeds from the evening will benefit The Reach for the Stars Foundation Benefiting Individuals with Cystic Fibrosis. October 26, 2004 - Bloomingdale's Shopping Benefit - The Reach for the Stars Foundation participated in a unique event, The Shopping Benefit, on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 from 10 am to 10 pm at Bloomingdale's five Florida stores including Town Center in Boca Raton, The Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, Aventura Mall in Aventura, The Falls in Miami and for the second year at The Mall at Millenia in Orlando. Nearly 150 charities from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, as well as central Florida, benefited from funds raised through ticket sales. More than $100,000 was expected to be distributed among participating charities, supporting their community-based programs. The Shopping Benefit featured storewide entertainment, fashion events and special discounts. Tickets were on sale for $10.00 each and 100 percent of those proceeds benefited participating charities. Ticket holders received a certificate for 15 to 20 percent savings off Bloomingdale's regular and sale priced merchandise on the day of the event (with limited exclusions.)

September 30 , 2004 - THE REACH FOR THE STARS FOUNDATION GETS THE SCOOP AT COLD STONE CREAMERY
The Reach for the Stars Foundation and Cold Stone teamed up for a treat for both football and ice cream fans. On Thursday, September 30,
the two presented The Reach for the Stars Foundation's Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream Bash, featuring Miami Dolphins players scooping ice cream for charity. Trading in their helmets and pads for aprons and spades were Miami Dolphins Jay Fiedler, Antuan Edwards, Sage Rosenfels and Donald Lee, plus IBF Light Heavyweight Champion Glen Johnson. The "celebrity scoopers" even sang along with Cold Stone employees to pump up the crowd.

The evening raised over $2,000 for The Reach for the Stars Foundation benefiting Individuals with Cystic Fibrosis. Guests not only enjoyed Cold Stone's super-premium ice cream creations™, but also purchased raffle tickets to win autographed Jay Fiedler footballs, a Kung Fu kickboxing package, a Cold Stone Creamery cake, and autographed Glen Johnson boxing gloves.

The Reach for the Stars Foundation is dedicated to alleviating the myriad of devastating consequences suffered by those afflicted with CF and their families. The Foundation is devoted to bridging the gap between living with CF and finding a cure by offering assistance and helping to improve the quality of life.

SPIN-A-THON CHURNS OUT MONEY FOR THE REACH FOR THE STARS FOUNDATION AT METAMOPHECISE HEALTH AND DAY SPA

Dozens of riders pumped, sweated and felt the burn on Friday, June 25, all for a good cause. They were participating in the Metamorphecise and Palms Magazine Spin-a-thon benefiting the Reach for the Stars Foundation. The event, which also included a health fair and live and silent auctions, netted $6,500 for the charity dedicated to providing quality of life assistance to cystic fibrosis individuals and their families.

As the sun was setting, riders hopped on bikes in front of the Pembroke Pines health club and where greeted by Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Fiedler, who helped created the Foundation. Fiedler thanked the spinners for their efforts, and joked about exercising outside in the steamy South Florida heat.

"Now you know how I feel," laughed Fiedler. "You are all out here spinning for a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Every dollar raised will go towards helping a CF individual live a longer and healthier life, and the Foundation is grateful for your contribution."

Fiedler was joined by his Dolphins teammates Antuan Edwards and Donald Lee, plus WQAM's "Voice of the Miami Dolphins" Howard David. David emceed the event and the live auction.

While the riders were hard at work spinning, spectators enjoyed food courtesy of Michael's Kitchen, Coldstone Creamery, Hooters and Starbucks, plus an informative health fair. Additional sponsors of the Spin-a-thon included: Balance for Life; Brand New Body & Bath; Body Beautiful Soaps; Bal Harbour Plastic Surgery; Las Vegas Restaurant; chiropractor Dr. Kustin; Cap Realty Corp.; Salsa Passion; Angelo Castillo; Lowe Realty; Varian Associates, P.A.; Mercedes Benz of Pembroke Pines; Maroone Dodge; Steve Dwoskin; Westbrooke Homes; Sharon Frazier; Metamorphasis Candles; and Planet Body.

Metamorphecise is a full-service, state-of-the-art fitness center, with a top-notch, European-style salon and day spa.

May 1, 2004 - On Saturday May 1, The Reach for the Stars Foundation presented its 2nd Annual CF Education Day. Eight leading CF authorities from around the country spoke to an audience of CF patients, their families, doctors and therapists. Lectures included Beth Sufian, an attorney with CF who shared her personal experiences; Rosanna Piccolomo, coordinator of the physical therapy department at St. Vincent's in New York City, who spoke on airway clearance and exercise; Dr. Joan DeCelie-Germana, CF Center Director at Schneider's Children's Hospital in New York, who talked about nutrition; Lois Adams, CEO of the CF Pharmacy, who lectured on CF medications; Dr. Lisa Saiman, a clinical pediatrics professor at Columbia University, who talked about lung infections and treatments; Dr. Lynne Quittell, CF Center Director at Columbia University, who spoke about infection control guidelines; attorney Austin Carr speaking on health insurance and patient's rights; and Dr. Clark Bishop a lung specialist and pulmonologist, who spoke about a clinical study on the effects of inhaled buffered glutathione.

The Education Day was extremely well received by those in attendance. "The presenters were excellent and the information was useful to a full range of interests - children, adults and professionals," said Joanne Levy, a CF parent.

"We are very pleased with how well the CF Education Day went," noted Reach for the Stars Foundation CEO Brian Levy. "It was our mission to educate and inform, and this wonderful panel of experts certainly helped us attain that goal. They provided our audience with a wealth of education to assist them in the continued battle against CF."

Fifteen top NFL players will take part in America's favorite game show when they appear on the eighth annual Wheel of Fortune "NFL Players Week". The shows were taped November 4, 2003 at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, Calif., and will air the week of January 5-9, 2004. Watch as Charlie Garner, Running Back for The Oakland Raiders, spins the wheel for The Reach For The Stars Foundation.

January 8, 2004 - The Reach for the Stars Foundation Benefiting Individuals with Cystic Fibrosis announced its 2nd Annual Stars 4 Stars Weekend on January 8th at WCI's Bella Mare in Aventura. Jay Fiedler, along with CBS-4's Jim Berry, Dolphin legend Garo Yepremian, and Brian and Stacey Levy, announced the event before more than a hundred individuals in attendance, including sponsors, local politicians, businessmen, and celebrities including World Series Champion Marlin Juan Pierre and Creed's lead singer Scott Stapp.

April 28, 2003 - The 2nd Annual Jay Fiedler Celebrity Golf Classic was held at the Turnberry Isle Resort and Club. The classic took place on one of Turnberry Isle's beautiful 18-hole Championship Golf Course, with famous Island Green in Aventura, FL. It was a great opportunity to team up with celebrities, enjoy the outdoors and play golf to help raise money and awareness for this great cause.


April 27, 2003 - The VIP Celebrity Roast and Auction was held at the Turnberry Isle Resort and Club. The man of honor for the evening was NFL standout and future Hall of Famer Cris Carter. The night will also included celebrities like Jay Fiedler, Howard David, Keyshawn Johnson, Charlie Garner, Lance Schulters, Chris Hayes, Walt Harris, Bobby Hamilton, Vonnie Holliday, Alonzo Mourning, Marshall Faulk, Nat Moore, Ricky Williams, Chad Cascadden, George Gervin, Keith Byars, Eric Dickerson, Chuck Daly, Joe Theisman, Robert Smith and many others. The Master of Ceremonies for the event was WQAM's Emmy Award winning broadcaster and voice of the Miami Dolphins Howard David.

April 4, 2003, Miami Country Day School and The Reach for the Stars Foundation work together to raise money for the foundation and show the kids a good time for their efforts. The students raise money for the Reach for the Stars foundation that benefits Cystic Fibrosis. The students who raised the most money got to spend the day swimming with Miami Dolphin players such as Jay Fiedler, Deon Dyer, Arturo Freeman and Travis Minor.



March 11, 2003, The Junior League of Long Island Women of Achievement Benefit Dinner and Fashion Show honoring Stacey Levy, founder of The Reach for the Stars Foundation, Benefiting Individuals with Cystic Fibrosis.

Stacey Levy was honored with the achievement award for her time and dedication as the founder of The Reach for the Stars Foundation Benefiting Individuals with Cystic Fibrosis, along with her long service of history in the community. The evening of the event Stacey also announced the starting of an Honorary Fund in the name of Dr. Jack Govoy, a legend in the care for children with CF, by The Reach for the Stars Foundation. It will be an annual grant for a family dealing with Cystic Fibrosis at Schneiders Hospital in New York.



December 10, 2002 - It was an amazing night when Ellie Levy, an 11 year old with Cystic Fibrosis, was given the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the American Airlines Arena when the Miami HEAT took on the Memphis Grizzlies on December 10, 2002. The Reach for the Stars Foundation thanks the Miami HEAT and the Miami HEAT Foundation for the opportunity.


July 8, 2002 - After the day of golf on July 8th everyone gathered at Gatsby's in Davie, FL for a VIP Awards Dinner and Auction. The night was full of fun and festivities as people helped raise money for The Reach for Stars Foundation to Benefit individuals with Cystic Fibrosis. The evening included raffle prizes, awards from the Jay Fiedler Golf Classic and an auction with items such as autographed memorabilia and tropical getaways.



July 8, 2002 - The Inaugural Jay Fiedler Golf Classic was held on July 8th, 2002 at the beautiful Weston Hills Country Club. It was a day full of fun with celebrities such as Chris Hayes, Arturo Freeman, Deon Dyer, Sam Madison and more coming out to help The Reach for the Stars Foundation's cause. Ellie Levy, an 11 year old with Cystic Fibrosis and daughter of both the C.E.O and Founder/President of the Foundation, Brian and Stacey Levy, also came out for the day to interact with all those that attended and helped the R4Stars Foundation.



April 27 , 2002 - Top "Money Raisers" From Miami Country Day School Field Day visit The Miami Dolphins training camp. The Children who raised the most money at the MCDS Field Day 2002, get to meet and greet their favorite Miami Dolphins players during their VIP visit.


March 21, 2002 - R4Stars Visited the Miami Childrens Hospital with the Easter Bunny to spread cheer to the children away from home for the holidays.


February 14, 2002 - Miami Country Day School - Field Day 2002. Children from Miami Country Day School participated in an event filled field day to benefit The Reach For the Stars Foundation. Special guests included Miami Dolphins players, Jay Fiedler, Deon Dyer, Arturo Freeman and Adewale Ogunleye. The event raised over $30,000 for the RFTSF!


December 11, 2001 - Hasbro Latin America - Chrismas NFL giveaway at MCH. Dolphins players, Jay Fiedler, Damian Gregory, Deon Dyer and Arturo Freeman visited Miami Children's Hospital to spread some "Holiday Cheer" and give out toys supplied by Hasbro Latin America.
